OHV

  • Mesquite is an OHV Destination and offers 1000’s of diverse trails from mountains, desert, forest, sandy washes, vistas, plateaus, to rugged terrain.

    There are beginner or expert trails, for site seeing and sport. Traveling from the desert into the mountains, the elevation and scenery change fast.

    You can leave straight from the resort and can go to three states, Gold Butte, or the Grand Canyon Parashant - National Monument.

Your Off Roading Adventure Begins at Mesquite Trails RV Resort and it ends...NEVER

There are 100’s of trails & 1000’s of miles for every skill level. Whether you ride for adrenaline, or to explore and sight see, your breath will be taken away with the undisturbed beauty of the desert and mountain wilderness. Waiting for you is a world of biological and geological wonders leading through lands of Joshua Trees, Junipers, Palms, Pines, Cactus, Yuccas, Creosote, and more. You’ll ride through canyons, along ridge tops, aside creeks and you’ll see the most amazing rock formations. Believe it or not, there is a hidden waterfall!

The loop through the Virgin Mountains, around to Gold Butte National Monument, into Grand Canyon - Parashant National Monument and back over the mountains is a favorite. You can view the route and interactive fly by here on Polaris Ride Command. Ride Command is a free app and a great tool when riding.

Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) are allowed on ALL city streets in Mesquite, NV for the purpose of accessing off-road trails and adventures. This makes Mesquite Trails RV Resort a very friendly OHV RV Park, compliments of the City of Mesquite. Leave your trailer behind in the resort and head out for adventure on your side by side, ATV or motor bike.”This is a privilege not many places in Nevada have. Please be safe, responsible, and learn your limitations. Take a safety course, always be prepared, and know the rules on and off road. You can learn more through the links below:

Whether you are driving by car or off-road vehicle, there is so much to see in a day trip from Mesquite.

Driving to State & National Parks is very doable in a day.

  • Bryce Canyon National Park, the land of the hoodoos. A hoodoo is not a thingamajig, it is real name of a spire shaped rock formation. The largest concentration in the world of hoodoos is located at Bryce Canyon, just about a 3-hour drive from Mesquite and ever bit worth it. 2023 brings a 100-year Celebration. But warning, the dark side might beckon you to come gaze at the stars by night and ride with hoodoos by day.

  • Zion National Park needs no introduction with its reputation and 2000 ft cliffs. Explore Zion on horseback with Canyon Trail Rides and discover wonders like the Three Patriarchs or the famous Beehives. If you would rather go on your own two feet, backpacking, hiking, and climbing are additional options. Hike to the Narrows or take a scenic drive through Kolob Canyon. Learn about the park, the history, and nature. You might want to consider an Annual Pass or Senior-Lifetime Pass.

  • Gold Butte National Monument is 300k acres of diverse scenery, changing terrain and a sorted history of human activity. Remote yet also always inhabited. You will find history in many forms, from petroglyphs, mining remains, evidence of ranching and more. The area changes from sand to rock, hills to cliffs and plateaus to canyons. You move through the sparse desert, that turns to a forest of Joshua trees and then again into a forest of junipers and pinion pines. An Endless Variety.

  • Falling Man Rock is seriously surreal. Have you ever dreamed of stepping into a painting? At Falling Man Rock, you really do. It’s an enchanted gallery of an ancient community. The trail head starts on a sandy path and there is no sign of awe until you realize the sand has disappeared and you are walking across a giant slab of solid stone. As the slab transitions into a wash there is this feeling like you are entering a world that once was, and the silent walls of a natural Amphitheatre rise around you. It’s quiet and beautiful, a place to contemplate.

  • Whitney Pockets, located within Gold Butte National Monument, is a surprise in the desert. As you drive along Gold Butte Road outcroppings and upheavals of red and crème sandstone mounds suddenly appear. They seem out of place almost not belonging. Getting closer, you might be thinking you are out there alone. Then you come in view of a motorhome tucked away in the cavity of the mound. A crazy beautiful place. We first visited via Gold Butte Road in our Denali, and it was slow going on the wash board road from Bunkerville. The second time we visited was via our Can Am UTV coming from the Cabin Canyon Road, it was still bumpy:)

  • Valley of Fire State Park - The park feels like dreamworld that turns and twist, mixing the reds, pinks, and crèmes into swirling creations of every imaginable shape. A trip here can make the least imaginative person see things. On bright sunny days it appears you are amid a fire of rocks, hence the name. It is perfect for a short outing on the 10-mile scenic byway thru the park or you can easily take a day or two and explore every inch. But, you won’t get a view from on high unless you are willing to climb because drones are not permitted. Only 55 miles southwest from Mesquite, you can be there and back in no time by car.

Located on the south side of the RV Resort, combines the best of both natural and developed beauty. The 18 Hole Championship Course is surrounded by the continuing landscape of the Virgin Mountains and Flat Top Mesa, intertwining the manicured greens with the natural wetlands of the Virgin River. Located a couple blocks down Hafen Lane is the only 9-hole regulation length golf course in Mesquite known for a quick affordable round of golf for all levels. A great choice for the holiday or vacation golfer or anyone just wanting to work on their game.
